    Gold Coast, Australia 2011

Hey hey how're you guys doing :D I know it's been a gazillion years since I last updated this dead bloggy but yeah decided to blog about my trip to Gold Coast, Australia.

Departed from LCCT at 9pm on the 1st of December. I took Air Asia so the seats weren't exactly "comfy" so I barely got any sleep. Roughly 8 hours flight if I recall correctly, pain in the ass, don't think I'll ever survive a flight to US(13 hours I think my goodness). Just spent the whole time listening to music & thinking bout everything. Teehee.

    Friday, 2nd of December 2011

Arrived at the airport, took an hour to pass through immigration because there were only two counters that were opened, how "efficient" of the Australian immigration *just saying*. Met up with two of my aunts(who are living in Aussie).
    -
Had our first meal - breakfast at none other than, *drum rolls*, MCDONALDS. I know, how cliche, but here in Malaysia, we DON'T HAVE pork in MCD, so yeah, had to fill our tum tum with some yum yum bacon :)
    -
Went for a lil shopping at Pacific Fair. I didn't get anything 'cause everything's just expensive and I think I was sorta jet lag, so yeah was really in the mood for "retail therapy". I needed sleeping therapy more, as a matter of fact.
    -
Checked in at Narrowneck Court, Surfers Paradise. It's not exactly a hotel, it's like an apartment, it's well-facilitated and to me, it's nicer than a hotel. It feels like home! And the view is amazing, you can see the beach and the beach is like 1 min walking distance, how sweet!
    -
Had lunch @ some random cafe. Wanted to go for some water activities like jet boat(kinda like a speed boat) but they were fully booked so decided to go on the next day.
    -
Stopped by the SIPC shooting range for some REAL GUN SHOOTING. And yes, I DID SHOOT A REAL GUN. Not one, two, three but FIVE GUNS(I think)! It was a great experience and I did pretty well for a first timer, was one of the best among the bumch *self praise*.

.22mm - normal gun. Easy to shoot. Easy to aim.
9 mm - A lil more powerful, still able to handle.
.45mm & magnum - powerful, after shooting, I instantly got "pushed back" a lil.
Forgot the name of the other gun.

We purchased passes to Sea World, Movie World and Wet&Wild world which entitled us to unlimited entry of those 3 worlds for 28 days. So we swung by Sea World just to see if we can still catch any shows, it was 3 in the afternoon so we only managed to see the penguin show thingie which I can hardly recall anything about it.

Was on the way back to Hilton hotel to drop my aunt off but we passed by this sling shot at Surfers Paradise. http://www.funtime.com.au/data/index1.htm Go check it out. I immediately wanted to go for it. I once saw it at Bali but my mum didn't allow me to go for it, there's also one in Sunway Lagoon too.

My aunt's boyf, Russell agreed to ride it with him but as we stopped to get down, I started freaking out a lil. Was shaking badly and hesitated. Mind you, this is the first time I have ever hesitated before going on a ride/roller coaster, so it was something, not some kiddy ride.

But after a few moments, I decided to just go for it, the worst case scenario is that I'll puke after it or maybe get a heart attack and die but whatever, I had to do it!

    Altitude - 80m+
    Speed - 160km/h
    Acceleration - 6g

Stepped in, buckled up, and I was up in the air in no time! The first few seconds were rather intimidating but after that, it was actually enjoyable! The adrenaline rush was good! I definitely encourage all of you to try it :)

I even have a video of myself on the sling shot - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=290233697686965&set=vb.100001010127419&type=2&theater I looked pale due to sleep deprivation and yeah, my nerves.

Went for dinner @ Hard Rock Cafe after that. The food was not bad. Did some grocery shopping and headed back to the apartment.

Went to Sea World to see Dolphins, Sea Lions, Sharks, Polar Bears and all kinds of animals. They were a few shows too. Went for this obstacle course thing like Sky Trex in Shah Alam, this one was called "Sky Climb". It lasted for 45mins, didn't require much physical strength, and was quite fun.
    -
Did a lil shopping @ Surfers Paradise. Didn't get much. Went to the beach after that. The current was strong so we couldn't swim but just sit down and enjoy the waves hitting us.
    -
Had dinner at some Chinese seafood restaurant. The adults went to the casino after that, whereas mum & I walked for half an hour or more to look for a place to sit down & chill but all the shops were close which was incredibly annoying.

We ended up at Starbucks. Just when I thought I could gain access to wifi for free, I found out I actually HAVE TO PAY TO GAIN ACCESS TO WIFI AT STARBUCKS. Felt like boxing them.

    Bought this at aus
    $30 = RM96 for two

    Love the back

Sunday, the 4th of December 2011

Spent the day @ Movie World. Went on rides like Superman Escape(better than any ride in Msia), Lethal Weapon, Batman Space Shot(the one at Genting is way much more higher & fun) and Scooby Doo Spooky Island(think they have it at Universal Studio Singapore). Watched shows like the Batman show & some car stunt thingie.

Went shopping @ Australia Fair, had dinner at some pork place and ended our day.

Cheyenne, I took a pic with your bro

    Sho cute

    From MCD, it's gooooooood

Went back the next day. So yeah, technically I only spent 3 full days there which was a total waste and I know I should've stayed longer but whatever. Who says I'm not going back soon? ;)

Overall, Australia is fun and a great place for vacation but to live, I would still say Malaysia is the best. I just can't live without mamaks and I won't be able to survive if the malls close at 5 in the evening.

    MALAYSIA BEST(without all the corruption).

p/s : hope there's at least 10 people reading this. Okay bye.
