PMR result day : 231201 Wednesday

Hey :) I've not been updating frequently for the past few months due to PMR & school but now that everything's over, I'm still not updating because I don't have my iPhone with me! I absolutely don't like taking pics with my camera so I depend alot on my phone. And without pictures, my blog would just be full of words and it'll be so uninteresting!

Anyway I'm here to update about my PMR result..

So yesterday, the 23th of December, mum dropped me at Jen's house and her dad dropped us & Amelia to the ban mee shop. Had our breakfast there with Pui Ee & Yau Shen. Went over to school and found out they have a new vending machine! I once had an idea to have a vending machine at school and someone actually did it! WOW.

Anyway, sat down and waited till 11 while listening to my ipod. Walked over to the hall and LCK was the first one there so the Eta-ians were the first to get their results. Most of them got 8A's/7A's as expected, they are THE Eta-ians, do not expect any less than that from them. Pn. Akmaliza didn't come so some other teacher took over. Most of my classmates got straight A's too!

Queued impatiently to get my slip, all the guys were surrounding the table so when it was my turn, I cried before getting my slip because deep inside, I knew I won't be able to match up the others. And true enough, I got 6A's & 1B for BM. I was devastated. I cried. No one really bothered to comfort me because everyone was too busy being happy for themselves so I went up to the second floor of the computer lab and sat down and cried. Called my mum too.

Calmed down and went back to the hall. By then, half of the people had already left. So much bout taking pics with everyone. Jen's parents dropped us off at Sunway Pyramid. Shopped a lil at Diva, met up with Brandon & Jason, dined at Sushi Zanmai for the first time! The food there is super reasonable & my chicken katsudon(?) was quite nice (: Walked around and watched Gulliver's Travel.

It was good & funny!
But I think I laughed because I know(not think) it's funny, not because I really felt like laughing.
If you get what I mean.

Went to check out cameras as I'm planning on getting one. I want a compact, no DSLRs for me because they are just too bulky and I'm too lazy to bring them everyone. Besides, all 4 of my girlfriends own a DSLR, why would I need one? I'll just have to POSE :D

Before that, I tried really hard to convince myself that I"ll never get 7As & that 5As would already be enough but I guess my heart didn't go the way I wanted it to.

Overall, I'm okay with my results but I'm not satisfied and I'll never be. But I am grateful & thankful for being able to get 6A's just for cramming 3 years syllables into 2 weeks. Initially I wanted to get my paper remarked but it just seemed so unnecessary and the success rate would be 1% so I don't wanna waste my 50bucks!

p/s : Many ask me why do I care so much bout PMR results even though PMR doesn't mean anything especially when I won't be continuing gov school studying next year.
My answer - I want face. Everyone did well & I'm one of the only ones who didn't so I feel incredibly dumb. And also, I did put in some hard work for this and I was hoping that I would get what I wanted but apparently I didn't.
