Hi everyone :) I went to
Singapore last wed till fri and I finally brought myself to blog about the trip. Actually there's
not much to tell, I'm just real lazy to type and recall everything that's all! So my dad had to go to
S'pore for a business conference with
Dell. He'll be getting a room at
Marina Bay Sands for a couple of nights so my mum thought we should join him!
Day 1, 10th of November 2010So we took a bus(First Coach) from
Holiday Villa straight to
S'pore! I love the bus! It's
much more better than airplanes! Seats are comfy and you get your own 'mini tv' for free! We took a morning bus so I slept all the way. When I say morning I mean 7 in the morning.
Arrived, took a cab to the hotel and go the room key from the concierge! Although it's a 6 star hotel, I
don't find it REALLY classy or glamorous. Or maybe I just have high standards.. Whatever. As long there's a bed and a clean bathroom,
I can survive :) Went to
HSBC to deal with some banking stuff and mum asked the workers there if there's a food court nearby.
Okay, my definition of food court is hawker stalls.
Mum's definition of food court is all different restaurants together like Pavillion's lowest floor or is is the highest floor? Don't remember.
But the HSBC worker pointed us to a market place and as I walked in, EVERYONE was staring at me, like 光明正大 kinda stare. Can't read Mandarin? Google it. I walked right out.
Took a cab to
Bugis and got down at
Iluma(a mall). We went to the 'food court' there and they had proper restaurants like
Manhattan Fish Market etc. One of the restaurants intrigued me by their interesting name.
'something' chocolate. I forgot. Whatever. Guess what, their Ice blended hazelnut chocolate is so good! One of the best drinks I've ever tasted! Like almost better than Starbucks kinda good!
Shopped a lil and went to
Bugis Junction(another mall). It's like Sunway Pyramid! They have
Diva, C&K, etc. Sat down and had
Starbucks and window shopped. Stuff there aren't cheap and I just wasn't in the mood. Went to
Bugis street after that and I still wasn't in the mood to shop so I bought a lil. Towards the end, I started to get my shopping vibe back and shopped a lil. I only brought 200SGD so I couldn't buy much :(
Had dinner at some Chinese restaurant and took a cab back to the hotel.
Day 2, 11th of November 2010Planned to go to
Universal Studio Singapore and I even bought tickets
online but it was pouring! The rain just wouldn't stop so we went to USS and changed our tickets to the next day. I was real sleepy so I didn't even have the mood to shop whatsoever. Had lunch at Hard Rock Cafe, I didn't eat, BUT their food is good and cheap :)
Went back to the hotel and chilled at the pool. I didn't swim because they allow visitors to pay 20SGD to visit the
Sky Park which was located at the
highest floor of the hotel where the swimming pool was at. I mean, would you really have the mood to swim when
there are 100 foreigners standing behind you taking pics? I don't think so.
Went back to the room and took a nap. Got dressed and joined dad & his business partners for dinner. The thought of dining with 'serious' people is not fun! Anyway they were nice and we chatted a lil through out the dinner. They asked me what I thought of the
Dell Streak. I honestly told them that it isn't as sensitive as iPhone and I would
not buy it over iPhone even if it's so much cheaper(less than 2k)!
Went back to the room and doze off!
Day 3, 12th of November 2010Mum went down for breakfast while I was sleeping like a pig in the room and she
i) called my cell
i) called the room phone
i) rang the door bell
i) banged the door
and I still couldn't get up so she had to call housekeeping to open the door for her. HAHA HOW EMBARRASSING!
Took a cab to USS! Oh ya I tried the
caramel popcorn & the cheese popcorn there, it is SO GOOD.
1000000x better than the ones here! Anyway, the rides at USS are normal. Just like Genting & lagoon. Mum has been to the one in
LA and she said the
S'pore one is like
chicken feet LOL. And to a certain extend, I agree. But the shows and the performances were nice (: Especially the Shrek one! My favourite roller coaster ride is the revenge of the mummy or something like that. The largest ones weren't opened so ya.
The decorations and the design is so cool! You feel like you're in the movies with 10000000 visitors with you! Anyway I'll let the pictures talk. Don't remember much about it anyway.
Left S'pore around 7.

How civilized :)
And there was a sign 'no putting your leg' there!
Well it was a picture not in words but a normal human being should understand right!

Normal room -.-

Okay lah got lcd, a lil better.

Nah I'm just shitting you!
No one was here so we had the jacuzzi to ourselves!
